I saw this circulating in blogland and planned to have posted before Valentine's Day, but life got in the way (a husband, a toddler, and class). So hear it is: Our Love Story as told by ME!!!! Enjoy!
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
This March Paul and I will have been together for 19 years, but we have only been married for 2 of those years.
2. How did you meet? {What’s your “love” story?}
We have actually known each other since grade school. When our classes would have gym together we would always play dodge ball and he would always throw the ball at me head. We did not start talking until after I had graduated and we started taking a class (Intro to Criminal Justice) at the same college. This happened in January 1993. We started talking and we found out we had a lot in common and we started dating that March. As they say the rest is history!!
3. If married, how long have you been married?
We have been married for 2 years, 1 month, and 3 weeks. But we have been together for 19 total years.
4. If you are married, where did you get married? Big or small wedding?
We actually got married at the Courthouse. It was just three of us (me, hubby, and our baby). I was 6 months pregnant at the time.
5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
He calls me Honey and I call him Honey.
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
He's funny. He has the biggest heart. And he love me and my daughter more than anything on this earth.
7. Tell us how he proposed?
The day he proposed was perfect. He took me to our favorite place ( a lake on the Wild Life Refuge) and proposed to be at sunset. He did not have a ring, but I did have a set of ring candy molds that we gave to me. You gotta love his sense of humor. I don't think I let him finish the sentence, because as soon as got down on one knee I said YES!!!! I had waited for 16 years for this to happen so I was a little bit excited!!
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
For the last two years he has given me and our daughter a teddy bear for Valentine's Day.
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
I'm a homebody so I would rather just stay in and sit on the couch and watch a movie.
10. Tell us one thing you’d like to do with your significant other one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
We love to travel to London.
11. Tell us what you did on Valentine’s Day.
He had a long work day, so I made a special dinner and the three of us ate together and later me and hubby watched a movie. It was perfect.
12. Did you asking for anything this Valentine’s day?
My birthday is too close to Valentine's day so we just combine the two and I get one present on birthday.
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Communicate!! Communication is the key to a string relationship that is full of love.
14. Show us a picture of what love means to you.
Will have to post this later.
~Angie
