Oh, The Places I Would Like to Go!

Hi Lovelies!

I hope everyone has had a great day!! Ours was fine, just filled with doctor's appointments for the Husband and spending time with The Little.

Today, I thought I would share some of the places that I can only dream of visiting.

The first is, Greece. It looks so beautiful and is in my top four places that I would like to visit.

The second place I would like to visit would have to be Italy.

This is another beautiful place. It's breathtaking and I would love to visit one day.

The third place I would like to visit would be Paris, even it's just too see the Eiffel Tower.

The last place that I would like to visit is, England.

Writing this post actually reminded me of one of my favorite movies, European Vacation. LOL!! Great movie by the way!

What are some of the places you would like to visit?

Baby is:  A Girl!!!

And her name is--- Cadence Rose Maya

Sleep: Tossing and turning with potty breaks in the middle of the night. Also, I am snoring and loudly too. (Still doing all of this!), amazinglythe heartburn is finally gone, but sleep is getting more  uncomfortable with all the kicks and jabs coming from the baby.

How has this pregnancy been different than the first:

Third trimester with Angelina was a bit easier than with this one. With this one, I have had heartburn almost daily and I have had more braxton hicks contractions. I have been going to weekly appointments and getting weekly NTS's and weekly ultrasounds ( I love seeing the baby every week).

I have finally gone a week without going to Labor and Delivery unexpectedly.

How big sister was this week: She is so excited to be a big sister!! She has been sick this weekend and she is finally back to her normal and giggly self.

The best moment(s) of this past week: Time with my family.

I'm looking forward to: Keeping her in my belly as long as I can and seeing the baby again at the appointment.

Tasty Tuesday- S'mores Cheesecake

Hi Lovelies!!!!

I finally found a recipe that combines my two favorite desserts--- s'mores and cheesecake!!! This recipe looks so delicious and I cannot wait to make it this fall. I searched and searched the interwebs until I found the right recipe to make this yummy concoction from the Kraft website. So, here is the recipe that I found and one that I hope to keep in my recipe binder. Enjoy!!

 S’Mores Cheesecake

 Ingredients

Crust

1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Cheesecake

3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup marshmallow creme
1 tablespoon vanilla
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup milk chocolate chips (6 oz)

Topping

1 cup milk chocolate chips (6 oz)
1/4 cup whipping (heavy) cream

Steps

  • 1 Heat oven to 425°F. Spray 10-inch springform pan with cooking spray.

  • 2 In small bowl, mix all crust ingredients. Remove 1/2 cup mixture for topping; set aside. Press remaining mixture evenly into bottom of pan. Bake 5 minutes or until crust is just turning deep golden around edge.

  • 3 In large bowl, beat cream cheese with electric mixer on medium speed, stopping to scrape side occasionally, until smooth. Add brown sugar, marshmallow creme and vanilla, and beat until smooth. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating 1 minute after each addition. Use rubber spatula to stir in cinnamon. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips over crust. Pour batter over chips.

  • 4 Bake cheesecake 15 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 225°F. Bake 55 minutes longer or until cheesecake is set around edge and center is almost set but just slightly wiggly. (Do not insert knife to test doneness because hole could cause cheesecake to crack.) Turn off oven, open oven door slightly and allow cheesecake to cool to room temperature. Remove from oven, cover loosely with foil and refrigerate at least 3 hours.

  • 5 In 1-quart saucepan, heat 1 cup chocolate chips and the whipping cream over low heat, stirring occasionally, until chocolate chips are melted. Spread over cheesecake and sprinkle with reserved 1/2 cup crumbs.

  • 6 Cover with foil and refrigerate cheesecake 1 hour or up to 48 hours. Run metal spatula along side of cheesecake to loosen and remove side of pan before serving. Store any leftovers covered in refrigerator.

Friday Favorites

Hi Lovelies!!

TGIF!! For some reason, summer weekends are just more fun than regular weekends. Am I right? So, speaking of summer, I have been loving every minute of it. From the fireworks on the 4th of July to the Minions movies that we saw today.

So in the spirit of this sunny season, I rounded up some of favorites things that remind me of summer.

Favorite summer movie:

The Minions movie.... it was such a cute movie and it must be seen in 3D.

Favorite Summer dessert:

Banana split bites... these little things look so yummy!!

 Summer Storms:

I love the sound of the rain hitting the roof and on the window. It's a very relaxing sound.

My Planner:

I love this!!! It keeps me organized and I love finding new ways to decorate it.

Which one is your favorite?
