Sunday Social

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Easter! I'm linking up with Neely from  A Complete Waste of Makeup for Sunday Social.

This week's questions:

1. Favorite type of work out to do?

I will be starting this work out (again) on Monday. I tried it a couple of months ago and just stopped doing it, so we'll see how long I will stick with it this time.

2. Favorite guilty pleasure candy or sweet?

3. What is one thing you continuously forget to do?

I really don't know, I guess the one thing that I continuously forget to do is turn off the light before leaving the room. That's all I can think of right now.

4. Posts its or phone reminders? Why?

Post its, because I can stick them anywhere!

5. Favorite picture currently on your phone that always makes you smile

Guilty Pleasures

Hi Lovelies!

After staring at a blank page for what seemed like forever, I finally decided what to write about in this post. My Guilty Pleasures. We all have them and I know we all secretly enjoy them. So, here are some of my guilty pleasures!

A guilty pleasure is something one enjoys and considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it.

Music:

New Kids on the Block- I have always loved their music!

Spice Girls- Who hasn't sung "Wanne Be" at the top of their lungs!! Love these girls!

Food:

I really one have one guilty pleasure when it comes to food and it's one that I really have to limit myself on.

Chocolate Chip Cooking dough ice cream

In general:

Reading a good book is another guilty pleasure of mine. More specific.

Pretty much any book by Stephen King (my favorite author).

Nicholas Sparks books

The Sweet Valley High Series (I'm re-reading these).

TV:

I love reality TV, specially the shows on the E! Channel.

Keeping up with the Kardashians- I never miss this show. I can't help it I love this show and I don't know why!

Married to Jonas

Ice Loves CoCo

I have never really thought about what my guilty pleasures are until now, what are your guilty pleasures?

~Angie

Mom Guilt

We all suffer from it. We are all guilty of it.

Mom guilt.

I have suffered from it on several occasions. Being a stay at home, I suffer from mom guilt just like any working mom. When I'm cleaning the house, I am always wondering if I am spending enough time with my daughter. Or, when I am studying, again I wonder if I'm ignoring her. While doing these two things, I always involve Angelina in some way. When I am cleaning, she "helps" me by pretending to vacuum the carpets with her Minni Mouse vacuum cleaner. And when I am studying, I give her crayons and coloring books or I give an old textbook that she can highlight in. During these times, we are always talking and interacting.

I even feel guilty when I run errands to the grocery store or even to the post office by myself.

But still, the mom guilt begins to creep in.

I am always wondering if I am spending enough quality time with daughter.

I am always wondering if I should go out and find a job, maybe if I did we wouldn't be so worried about money and maybe we wouldn't argue so much. I also begin to think that maybe my daughter would benefit more if she was in daycare that way she would be more socialized than she is right now.

I know everyone whether they are working parents or stay at home parents feels this type of guilt. It's just something I am going to have to figure out how to handle on my own. It's something that I am going to have come to terms with.

My daughter is my world. She is my life. I love her to the moon and back. I wouldn't changing anything that I have done since she has become a part of our lives. I would quit my job again just to stay at home with her.

So, the mom guilt is just going to have subside in one way or another. I can handle it, with the help of my husband, I can handle it.

Do you suffer from mom guilt? I would love to hear how you deal with it.

Have a lovely Saturday!

It's Okay Thursday

Hi Lovelies!

I know I'm writing this post very late (11:36pmCST), but I'm not able to use the computer until Angelina is in bed for the night. So, I'm linking up with Neely for It's Okay Thursday (I should be working on a paper).

It's Okay......

to pray multiple times a day.

to want some "me" time every once in a while.

to work better with music.

to find a song that I love, and then play the song over and over again.

to still talk about Angelina's birthday party. It was a great day and we had so much fun visiting with family and friends that we hadn't seen in a while (recap coming soon).

to read the same books over and over again. I never get tired of them.

So What Wednesday

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Wednesday! This week I am linking up with Shannon for So What Wednesday. Grab a cup of coffee, link up, and have fun!

This week I am saying So What If.......

I  can eat an entire Totino's pizza by myself. Those suckers are tiny and that's pretty much it!

I watch Dirty Dancing and Grease every. single. time. they come on TV. I know the words to every song and I often wish that I grew up during those times.

I cannot wait to see Jurassic Park in 3D. The last 3D movie (which was also my first) was Clash of the Titans, so at least I know this one will be better.

We are reusing last year's Easter basket this year for Easter instead of buying Angelina a new one. She loves her Elmo Easter basket and I thought she might enjoy it.

I am looking forward to next Sunday. Husby is going to a friend's house for his guy's night and I plan on enjoying a movie. Now, what should I rent? Suggestions?

Have a great day!

Letting Go......

I know it's going to happen, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it will happen. However, knowing this does not make it any easier.

My daughter. My husband and I created her out of our love for each other. I carried in my womb. I nutured and protected her for 36 weeks in that womb. I gave birth to this beautiful baby girl. I celebrated each and every milestone, all the while taking pictures and videos.

And soon, it will be hard to celebrate the next new milestone......

Preschool.

We have spent 3 years together. We have raised, loved, and guided her. Both of us. Together.

When the time comes to send my beautiful daughter to preschool, it will hard to let go. I know she needs this experience. I know she will learn and grow from this experience.

My husband and I have been the ones to teach her. And, now, others will be teaching her. I know she needs this, and I think I need it too.

So, when the time comes, there will be tears, maybe more tears from me than from her.

But, there will be tears.

And, because of this experience, she will become an even better little person.

A Day in the Life.....

Even though I am a stay at home mom I find that I have to follow a schedule in order to keep my sanity and to keep the chaos at bay. Recently, I came up with the perfect schedule that helps me juggle all of my responsibilities (believe me, there are many).

So, I thought I would post a sample of my daily schedule here. Please keep in mind that this is a sample and it was designed around my responsibilities.

Here is a sample of my weekly schedule (M-F) for a SAHM:

7am-8am: Wake up, work out, get both of us (me and Angelina) get ready for the day. This is when we have our bible reading (I work on my bible study while Angelina "reads" her bible).

8am-9am: Breakfast and then breakfast clean up.

9am-11am- Angelina has playtime or watches 1 hour of Disney channel while I do my quick morning routine (make beds, spot clean bathrooms, run vacuum through bedroom, sometimes she "helps" me)

11am -12pm: play time with Angelina (we color, say our letters, shapes, numbers) and then lunch prep

12pm-1pm: Lunch and then clean up

1pm-2pm: quiet time for Angelina (we reads books or color, no more naps)

2pm-4pm: Angelina has playtime outside if it's not too hot or too cold. If she doesn't want to go outside I let her watch 1 hour of her favorite TV shows on Netflix and I declutter the living room and dining room.

4pm-5pm: Prep supper

5pm-530pm: Supper

530pm-6pm: clean up kitchen

6pm-730pm: Angelina has playtime and then bath time during this time frame.

730pm-8pm: Bedtime routine (read books)

8pm-830pm: Bedtime

830pm-12am: This is my time to study, watch a movie with Husband, work on class and class assignments, prep snacks for the week, etc.

So, there it is. The schedule that I follow. Now, it is flexible and there are days that I just don't get through the whole schedule. I'm still learning this whole scheduling things and it is a work in progress.

What is your daily rountine? Is it anything like mine? I would love to see it!

Have a wonderful Monday!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl

 A Story for The Little......

When I was 5 years old I played mommy. I had a doll that I named Misty. I dressed her in clothes that my mom made, gave her a pretend bottle and put in a little cradle for her naps.

When I was 20 I knew I wanted to become a mommy one day. I remember wanting at least two kids by the end of my thirties. At the age of 20 I met my soul mate, my partner in crime. my prince. I knew one day that we would make beautiful babies together. I always pictured my first born having big blue eyes and blondish/brown hair. My fate was sealed the first time I looked into Daddy's eyes. We would love each other forever and out of our love my lifelong dream of being a mommy was fulfilled.

When I was 37 years old I became a mommy and my life changed forever. However, I became a mommy even before my baby was born.  The moment I found out that I had a precious life growing inside of me priorities suddenly shifted. For the first time I was responsible for another. I fell in love with you, Baby Girl, the minute I saw that second line.

One month after my birthday and three months after Daddy and I were married, in March 2010 you were born. I remember listening to your first cries, and when I was finally able to see you, I just stared at you in utter amazement. Part me, part Daddy, yet all you. Baby girl you changed my life forever. Love took on an entirely new meaning and I vowed to love and nuture you to the best of my ability forever.

Today, I am 40 years old and you just turned 3. I can still picture in my mind how you looked and how you just fit into my arms. I remember when you first smiled at me and how you just knew that I was your mommy.

My whole life prepared my for this day, my greatest achievement. You are and always will be my first baby, no matter how many babies Daddy and I have, you will always that title and place in my heart.

My beautiful daughter, I celebrate you today. For all that you and for all that you will become, but most of all, I thank you for making me a mommy. Your mommy. Thank you for choosing me. I promise to always be there for you and love and cherish you with every ounce of my being. I love you and I am so proud of you Baby Girl!

Happy Birthday!
I love you!

Momma xoxo

Come on Vamonos! Everybody Let's Go!!!!!

Today is a busy day! It's Angelina's party day!!!

Excited to be celebrating our Little Lady!

Some Firsts

I saw this on a couple of different blogs and thought I join in on the fun, 'cause why not?

Some of my firsts......

First thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Find my glasses, check on Angelina, then go to the bathroom.]

First thing you do when you get home from work?

My home is my work.

First kiss.

Sadly, I really don't remember it.

First home.

The house Paul and I live in now.

First thing you wanted to be when you grew up?

A teacher

First choice beverage.

Ice cold water

First choice dessert?

Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream

First choice of restaurant?

The Cracker Barrell.

First song that comes to mind.

The theme song from "Smokey and the Bandit", because Angelina has been singing it all day long.

First major purchase.

This is really going to show my age but, we purchased a  VCR when we first lived together.

First job?

Salad girl at a local restaruant when I was in high school

First time you flew on a plane?

I don't really remember it, but I was four and my mom, by brother and I were going to Florida to visit my grandparents. I remember the plane was loud.

First real "big girl" job?

I was a department secretary at my local college.

Good Morning

Hi Lovelies!

Good morning to you all. I have been up since 630am and all of housework is finished (before 10am). All I have left to do is one more of laundry and I can have a morning and afternoon with the Little. I'm not used to getting up this early anymore, usually we don't get up until 830am or 9am, I actually forgot that I can get so much done if I would just get up earlier. The one plus to getting up early is that Angelina goes to bed earlier now. I think I'm going to keep us on this schedule from now on.

I don't have much planned for today. I'm working on some pompom wands for Angelina's birthday and then I need to start scheduling all of the assignments that are due in my next class which starts tomorrow. There's just not much going on today.

Have a great day everyone!

Tantrums

They happen at the same time everyday. 5pm. This is our witching hour.

They come out of nowhere. Sometimes it's because Angelina hasn't had her nap. Sometimes it's because we tell her no when she wants something that she cannot have.

Whatever the reason, they are difficult to get through. However, when they happen, they are short lived, and when they are over she is our happy, smiley girl again.

When the tantrum happens, we ignore them the best the we can. This is the difficult part. Ignoring the tantrum. The tantrum usually ends with Angelina saying, "I want my Mom". I pick her up, rub her back, tell her I love her, and she is happy again.

This can happen multiple times from 5pm to bedtime, which is usually 830pm. Three and a half hours of pure agony. But, somehow we get through them. Everyday.

Here's a question: How do you handle your Little One's tantrums?

Have a nice day!

My Monday Braindump

Nothing exciting happened today. It was just a normal Monday around here so I thought I would do a brain dump post today.

1. We had a great weekend. The weather was so nice that we stayed outside as much as we could.

2. I am so disappointed in American Idol. The judges are awful and the talent is any better (expect for a couple for the girls).

3. I can't wait for Angelina's birthday party! I'm excited and she is excited. It's all that she talks about.

4. Easter is coming!

5. I need a haircut real bad, I'm just too lazy to make the appointment.

6. I'm already dreading my next class. I have two assignments due every week and it's only 8 weeks!

7. I haven't really decorated Angelina's big girl room yet (hangs head in shame), so I'm thinking of pinning a few things and trying to make them.

Have a nice evening!

Randoms and Bloglovin

Hi Lovelies!

It has been a great day and a somewhat lazy one at that. We didn't have much to do and just stayed at home and just enjoyed some much needed family time. So, today's post is all about our day.

Randoms:

The grandparents came by for a visit and helped us cut down one of our trees.

Angelina made a new friend today, a cute beagle puppy came by for a visit.

My current class ends on Wednesday and my next class starts on Thursday.

I'm still working on a few decorations for Angelina's birthday party.

Angelina had her first ice cream cone (she really enjoyed it).

Some Bloglovin business:

I"m sure everyone knows by now that come July 1st Google Reader will be disappearing. I just signed up at Bloglovin' (I'm still learning the ins and outs of it) and I am told that  I can list of all of my favorite reads there. I seems that Bloglovin will keep me up to date on some of my favorite bloggy reads.

So please follow me so I can keep with all of my reads.

 Have a great night!

~Angie

P.S. I'll have to add the Bloglovin link tomorrow since for some reason it is not working right now!

Worried

I'm worried. About my husband. Paul had a routine (general check-up) appointment last week and he was told that he had a knot underneath his adam's apple. I don't know how we did not notice it before, but it is defininatly there. We both went to Dr. Googgle and we think that it is his thyroid. We also think that this is bump is due to not having enough iodine in his diet. He has a restrictive diet where I can't eat salt so we think it is because of this. However, next Tuesday and Wednesday he is going in for thyroid testing. We have been praying about this all week, we hope it is an easy fix and that he will be alright. I'm trying to be strong for him and to keep stress away from him.

So, yes, I am worried. Very worried.

Please keep Paul in your prayers.

Thank you,

~Angie

Weekly Celeb Roundup

Hi Lovelies!

Well, baby girl is in bed, Husby is playing a game on the Xbox and I am writing this post (when I should be cleaning the kitchen) contemplating should I finish the kitchen or should I just go to bed soon. I think the kitchen can wait until tomorrow, I just might go to bed early tonight.

Anyway, it's Friday! YAAAAAAAAY!!!!! So, I thought I would post another celeb roundup. Here's this week's gossip.......

Miley and Liam

Are they or aren't they? That is the question. He bought a new house without her and she is still ringless. What gives?

Kim Kardashian registers for baby

Okay, who buys all white clothes for babies? I mean really? As a mom, in the first few months all my daughter did was spit up and had diaper blowouts. And I never put her in all white, in fact I still don't. Am I the only one who thinks this is stupid?

Justin Bieber

Has the boy lost his mind? What was that crazy rant about in London?

Well, ladies, that's all the gossip that I can find. Did I miss something or has just been a slow week for celebrity gossip?

Have a fun and safe Friday!!!

Thankful Thursday

Hi Lovelies!

This week has been so relaxing for all of us. Since the weather has been so nice we have been spending as much time outside as we possibly can. Yesterday we just sat around relaxed and played outside. I even cleaned and reorganized Angelina's playroom and bedroom. It was a nice and peaceful day. I hope we have many more like yesterday very soon.

So, today,  I thought I would share what I am thankful for.

I am thankful for:

My loving Husband

He has always been there for me when I needed him. He is an awesome husband and and even awesomer ( is that a word) daddy. I am thankful to share my life with him.

My precious little girl

She brings so much joy to my life. I love watching her grow and learn new things.

Spring Break

It is much needed around here. We really need this time to relax and have to family fun.

What are you thankful for?

So What Wednesday

Hi Lovelies!

Today I'm linking up with Shannon for So What Wednesday! So here's what saying So What to this week.

 So What If......

I hate Daylight Savings Time. Yeah, it's awesome that Angelina sleeps a little bit later, but the bedtime routine is out whack now.

I ignored my diet last weekend. I needed a break from counting calories.

We are going to be outside for most of the week. It's going to in the high 70s all week and I plan to enjoy it and have a few playdates at the park for Miss Angelina.

Angelina did not nap at all this past weekend. No naps = earlier bedtimes.

Angelina's birthday is in less than two weeks and I haven't started making decorations yet.

Tasty Tuesday- Peanut Butter Cookies

Hi Lovelies!

I love peanut butter cookies. Who doesn't, right? Well, today Angelina and I made some of the most delicious peanut butter cookies. We also made memories, the kind of memories I made with my mom. We had flour all over the counter, all over the floor, in our hair, on our faces. It was a fun afternoon and one that I will always cherish.

Peanut Butter Cookies

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1 1/4 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Heat oven to 375ºF.

Mix sugars, peanut butter, shortening, butter and egg in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until firm.

Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Place about 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped into sugar.

Bake 9 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.

Enjoy!

Happy Homemake Monday

Hi Lovelies!

It's Monday and that means it's only 4 days until the weekend! Today I have been cleaning out our closets and just having the time of my life (NOT)! It's time to link up with Sandy for Happy Homemaker Monday. So, here we go!

The weather:

As you can see from the graphic, spring is here!!! It looks like we will be spending as much time as we can outside.

Right now I am:
I'm watching working on a paper and watching First Wives Club.

Thinking:

Do I really have to fold all of the laundry?

On my reading pile:

I am still  reading Beaches and I'm enjoying it. I call this my "buffer" book as I am reading the newest Stephen King novel.

 Beaches

On my TV:

I'm almost done with season one of Downton Abbey and I'm watching season 2 of Party of Five and season 2 of 7th Heaven (I switch between the three shows)

On the menu this week:

Monday- Beans with ham and cornbread
Tuesday- spaghetti (red and white sauces) salad, garlic bread
Wednesday- chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans
Thursday- chicken pot pie
Friday- Sandwich wraps (grilled chicken) and chips
Saturday- Roast, au gratin potaotes, green beans, and cheddar biscuits
Sunday- Beans and cornbread

On my to do list:
Laundry
Vacuum
Clean the bathrooms
Clean the bedrooms
Clean the kitchen

Clean and organize the closets

 What I am creating:

I'm working on some decorations for Angelina's birthday party and also trying to figure out what I can do with a box full of yarn and I don't know how to knit or crochet! Help!!!!

Homemaking Tips:

I use vinegar as an all purpose cleaner. It even gets stains out of carpet.

Looking around the house:

My house needs some TLC. Every room is messy and cluttered. There are dishes in the sink and on the counter. It's just a mess.

 On my prayer list:

My husband as he begins his studies for his Master's Degree in Computer Science and my In-Laws.

Bible verse/devotional:

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. (ESV)

Sunday Social

Hi Lovelies!

I am linking up, once again, with Neely and Ashley for Sunday Social.

This week's questions:

1. What movie are you terrifed to watch?

The Exorcist. I have only seen the previews and clips of it here and there and based on these, I will never, ever watch it.

2. What is the one show you have always wanted to get into but haven't yet?

I would say Gossip Girl. It's in my Netflix que I just haven't watch any of the episodes yet.

3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?

Skydiving!

4. Would you ever travel alone?

I really don't know. I guess it would have to depend on where I am going.

5. What activities do you like to do alone?

Let's see there are so many.... I would love to use the bathroom alone. Angelina likes to follow me in there and I would love to go shopping alone.

Finish the Sentence

Hi Lovelies!

Friday always seem to be slow in the blogosphere so I thought I would make it interesting and answer a few questions that I found floating around other blogs. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed answering them.

1. People always tell me that Angelina looks more like her dad then me.

2. In the movie based on my life I would want.....I really don't know who would play me in a movie about my life.

3. Typically, I end up regretting eating at any type of buffet (oh the germs)

4. I always ask to leave of the onion (yuck!)

5. Kim and Kanye really need to keeping making reality shows, because I would watch every single one of them.

6. My parents always reminded me to think before I said anything.

7. Every single day I wish that we lived somewhere else.

8. This one time in college nothing cool happened. I went to a fairly small college where we didn't even have a football team and everyone hated even being there.

9. My grossest habit is biting my nails.

10. My latest white lie was "I really liked that movie".

11. I know all the words to every Bon Jovi song.

12. When I grow up I want to be  on my own food network cooking show, like Rachael Ray.

13. Sexy time is pretty normal around here.

14. I will never ever learn how to knit. It is so frustrating!

15. I think it's hilarious when Angelina makes funny faces at us.

Have a wonderful evening!

Thoughts on a Thursday

Hi Lovelies!

I hope everyone had a great Wednesday. We had a pretty low key day where I did some housework, played superhero with Angelina, and made an easy supper of baked potatoes and salad. Right now I'm in the middle of planning Angelina's birthday party and trying to decided exactly what to do. So far we have decided on the theme, decorations, and food.

Theme:

Dora the explorer

Decorations:

Balloons (of course), streamers, tissue paper pompoms, Dora, Boots and Swiper beanies

Oh, and Angelina wants these neat pompom wands:

Food:

I will be putting together a baked potato and salad bar

Now, all I have to do is think of some games for the kids to play and think of some ideas for the favor bags. It has been fun planning it and I hope it comes together the same way that I am envisioning it in my head.

Since it's almost 2am here, it's time for me to hit the sack. The inlaws will be here sometime in the morning to cut down a tree for us. So, have a great day everyone! See ya later!

Midweek Randoms

Hi Lovelies!

Paul graciously lent me his laptop so I could write a quick post! This is going to be quick, so here we go!

Random #1: Angelina went to her very first skating party on Sunday! She had so much fun and she even "skated" for a few minutes.

Random #2: I'm in party planning mode for Angelina's 3rd birthday party. The theme is all things Dora.

Random #3: I have so much yarn and I don't even knit or crochet. I'm now pinning yarn projects on pinterest.

Random #4: I'm so ready for spring to finally appear.

Randome #5: We are planning a trip to the zoo over the summer. So excited!

Well Lovelies, Paul needs his computer. See, told ya it would be quick. I'll talk to ya later!

Tasty Tuesday- Easy Risotto

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Tuesday! Did everyone have an enjoyable Monday? Believe it or not we did! I was actually to catch up on some housework while Angelina napped and we even spent most of the afternoon outside. It was absolutely beautiful! The only crappy thing that happened was that the internet connection on my laptop does not work right now. Paul is trying to fix it so we are having to share his computer.

Anyway, I wanted to share a recipe for an easy risstio that I found on the foodnetwork;s website! Enjoy!

Easy Parmesan Rissito
1 1/2 cups Arborio rice
5 cups simmering chicken stock, preferably homemade, divided
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup dry white wine
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, diced
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 cup frozen peas

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Place the rice and 4 cups of the chicken stock in a Dutch oven, such as Le Creuset. Cover and bake for 45 minutes, until most of the liquid is absorbed and the rice is al dente. Remove from the oven, add the remaining cup of chicken stock, the Parmesan, wine, butter, salt, and pepper, and stir vigorously for 2 to 3 minutes, until the rice is thick and creamy. Add the peas and stir until heated through. Serve hot.

Oklahoma Proud!

Hi Lovelies!

I thought I would show some Oklahoma Pride today! I am proud to be from Oklahoma after all it is the only that I know and it is the only place that I have ever lived in. Yes, people make fun of Oklahoma, but come on it's not all that bad, especially when you have places like this to visit:

Beautiful!

Planning a road trip this summer!

Bricktown!

OU Football! Boomer Sooner!!!

 OKC Thunder!!

See, how could anyone make fun of the state when we have some pretty cool attractions!

Okay, now for something fun that I found floating around facebook and I just had to post it here!

You might be an OKIE if:

1. You can properly pronounce Eufaula, Gotebo, Okemah, and Chickasha .

2. You think that people who complain about the wind in their states are sissies.

3. A tornado warning siren is your signal to go out in the yard and look
for a funnel.

4. Your idea of a traffic jam is ten cars waiting to pass a tractor on
the highway.

5. You've ever had to switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.

6. You know that the true value of a parking space is not determined by
the distance to the door, but by the availability of shade.

7. Stores don't have bags, they have sacks.

8. You see people wear bib overalls at funerals.

9. You think everyone from a bigger city has an accent.

10. You measure distance in minutes. ("I'm about 5 minutes away.")

11. You refer to the capital of Oklahoma as "The City."

12. It doesn't bother you to use an airport named for a man who died in
an airplane crash.

13. Little smokies are something you serve only for special occasions.

14. You go to the lake because you think it is like going to the ocean.

15. You listen to the weather forecast before picking out an outfit.

16. You know cow-pies are not made of beef.

17. Someone you know has used a football schedule to plan their wedding
date.

18. You have known someone who has had one belt buckle bigger than your
fist.

19. A bad traffic jam involves two cars staring each other at a four- way
stop, each determined to be the most polite and let the other go first.

20. You know in which state "Miam-uh" is and in which state "Miam-ee" is.

21. You aren't surprised to find movie rental, ammunition, and bait all in the same store.

22. Your "place at the lake" has wheels under it.

23. A Mercedes Benz is not a status symbol. A Ford F350 4x4 is.

24. You know everything goes better with Ranch.

25. You learned how to shoot a gun before you learned how to multiply.

26. You actually get these jokes and are "fixin" to send them to your
friends..

27. Finally, you are 100% Oklahoman if you have ever heard this
conversation:

"You wanna Coke?"
"Yeah."
"What kind?"

"Dr. Pepper."

Have an fun Friday everyone! I'll be back later this evening (after the Little is in bed) with a post about her upcoming 3rd birthday party!!!
