Happy Homemaker Monday

Good Evening Lovelies!

I know it's late but I am just getting to this post since I have had a pretty busy day. Housework has taken over my entire day and now I have clean and nice smelling home. Anyways, let's get to the reason for this post-- it's Happy Homemaker Monday!

The weather:

The mornings have cold, but the afternoons have been warm and sunny.

Right now:

I'm sitting here typing this post and watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix.

Thinking:

That I need to find a way to promote the planner inserts that I have been working on for my shop. I have no idea how I am going to do this. I hope to have them listed by the end of the week.

Looking forward to:

My birthday is in a couple of weeks, the Super Bowl (I need to figure out the menu), and Valentine's day. February is always a good month in our house. I love planning for parties and I love that the Super Bowl is the day before my birthday.

On my reading pile:

Nothing at the moment.

Things that make me happy:

Spending time with my husband and two little girls. Reading a good book. Making the perfect cheesecake.

On the menu for the week:

Monday- pot roast, potatoes, peas (slow cooker)
Tuesday- Beans (lunch) Burritos (Dinner)
Wednesday- Leftovers from M and T
Thursday- Skillet Lasagna, salad, garlic bread
Friday- Ham and cheese sliders, fries, salad
Saturday- BBQ chicken sandwiches, potato salad
Sunday- Beans (lunch) Burritos/Frito Pies (Dinner)

On my To Do list:

Laundry
Menu planning
Planning my week in my planner
Vaccum
General tidy up (entire house)
Clean out the car

What I am creating:

Stickers for my daughter's cape for the 100th day of school.

Looking around the house:

My house need some tidying up but not much.

On my prayer list:

Friends and family.

Bible verse, devotional, favorite quote:

Have a great night!!

Five on Friday: 80s Music Edition

Hi Lovelies.

The weekend is finally here! To celebrate I wanted to share a few of my favorite 80s music videos. Now put on your neon jelly bracelets and leg warmers and party like it's 1999!!

1. Once Bitten Twice Shy-- Great White

2. Pour Some Sugar on Me-- Def Leppard

3. You Give Love a Bad Name-- Bon Jovi

4. Living on a Prayer-- Bon Jovi

5. Born to Be My Baby-- Bon Jovi

Clearly I'm a Bon Jovi fan!!!! I can't help it I love them and I still remember where I was when I first heard one of their songs. It was You Give Love a Bad Name and I was at a homecoming dance.

What are some of your favorite songs?

Have a great weekend. Se ya tomorrow!!

XOXO

Checking In

Hi Lovelies.

\
It's been a few days and I thought I would take a few minutes and pop to say hello and just a simple little check in post. The days have passes so fast that I just feel that I will never to be to catch up. I guess I should just take it one day at a time, right? Here are some random jumbled thoughts that have been rolling around in my head the last few days.

-- My heart goes out to Celine Dion who just last her husband and her brother within days of each other. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain and heartache she and her sons are going through right now.

-- I need to menu plan for the next couple of weeks and I have no idea where to start.

-- My house needs some serious TLC. It's a mess and I just don't feel like cleaning it right now. I need some motivation right now.

-- I'm excited for the premiere of "Fuller House" next month. Now if only Netflix would stream "Full House"..... one can dream right?

-- I have been binge watching TV shows for the last few weeks.... so far I have watched "How I Met Your Mother", "Gilmore Girls", "Friends", and now I am watching "Sliders". As for movies I have watched "Meet the Parents", "Meet the Fockers", and "Rockstar" (seriously the best 80s soundtrack ever).

-- I am behind on laundry and I don't even care right now.

-- My hands are so dry that they hurt.

-- I need some new books to read. Any suggestions?

Anyway,  I have some things that I need to take care of. I should be back to blogging more regularly tomorrow. I hope everyone is doing well. Until next time!!

XOXO

~Angie

Happy Homemaker Monday

Good Morning Lovelies, how are you all this Monday?

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Ours was very relaxing. We just stayed at home, watched movies and football, and made some cookies and hot chocolate.

Well, it's Monday and that means it's time for Happy Homemaker Monday!!

The weather outside is:

Bright, chilly, but also very nice.

On the breakfast plate this morning:

Cinnamon Roll Toaster Strudel

As I look outside my window:

The sun is shining with a few clouds in the sky. The wind is blowing gently and swaying the empty branches on the trees.

Right now I am:

Sitting on the couch, writing this post, and watching youtube videos, while typing this blog post.

As I look around the house:

The kitchen needs to be cleaned, and the living room and dining room needs to be picked up. The house needs some TLC.

On today's To Do list:

Laundry
Kitchen
Living room
Dining room
Bathrooms
Bedrooms

On the menu this week:

Monday: BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, corn
Tuesday: Leftovers from Monday
Wednesday: Baked potatoes and salad

Thursday: Lasagna with garlic bread
Friday: Hamburgers and fries
Saturday: Leftovers from Thursday
Sunday: Beans, cornbread, fried potatoes

In the craft basket:

I'm still working on stickers for my shop and  hope to have a sale sometime this week. And I am hoping to add some more planner bands that I have made in the last couple of days.

Happening this week:
School starts again, grocery shopping, and a very important business meeting.

Devotionals, prayers, and bible verses:

My Goals for 2016

Hi Lovelies!!

I cannot believe that it's January already! Where did the last year go?! I'll be honest I looked back at the goals that I had posted during 2015 and realized that I accomplished very few of them. In my defense last year was crazy and busy. I was pregnant for most of 2015, I had some complications beginning in June that resulted in my OB putting me on modified bed rest, then in July my husband broke his elbow and had to have surgery two weeks before my scheduled c-section. I have been in survival mode for a very long time and I'm ready to brush off the dust and get to setting goals for my life and businesses, and genuinely working towards those goals.

There are improvements that need to be done, so here are the goals that I am setting for this year.

Home

Speak Paul's "love language" and make an effort to connect with him daily.

Get dressed everyday and take care of ME. I cannot take of care of everyone else if I am not taking care of me.

Weekly trips to the library for the girls and read more books together.

One on one time with the girls daily.

Routine. Establish a morning and evening routine and a daily routine for regular maintenance things for my business plus a daily routine for the girls.

Financial

Better budgeting

Pay off smaller debts

Book one party per month

Weight Loss

Lose 40lbs (goal weight: 140lbs)

Walk/workout 3 to 5 times per week

Drink 70+ ounces of water

Work on strength training

Eat sensibly, no restrictions, watch portions

And that's that Lovelies!!!  Those are the main things that I am focusing on this year. What goals have you set for 2016?

Have a great day!

XOXO
