Blogmas 2014 - Day 2 What Christmas Means to Me

Hi Lovelies!

Welcome to Day #2 of Blogmas 2014! I know, I know..... I'm a day behind, but I will post Day #1 sometime today. Anyways, I'm participating in Blogmas 2014 with Sandy from Diary of a Stay At Home Mom. She has come up with some cool writing prompts for this and I am so excited to get started!

So, shall we?
Christmas is my favorite holiday. More so now that we have the Little. I don't need the presents, just seeing the joy in my child's eyes when she gets up on Christmas morning and sees the presents under the tree is the best Christmas present ever.

So, what does Christmas mean to me?

It's pretty simple:

Family, love, turkey
Christmas movies, parades, Christmas music
Laughter, joy, The Little

Hot chocolate, gingerbread houses
Christmas cookies, being together
Lazy mornings, cozy evenings
traditions and Santa

What does Christmas mean to you?

Soggy Saturday

Hi Lovelies!

It has  a wet and rainy day in our neck of the woods. We have been keeping busy with reading just about every book in the Little's bookcase and we have been in the floor playing Cinderella and Rapunzel (the Little People dolls and castle).

We have watched two movies today:

and the Little's very favorite movie:

This afternoon I cleaned the kitchen

and I made some yummy banana bread.

So that was our day in a nutshell. How was your Saturday? Was it as soggy as ours? Have a nice evening!

Oh How Pinteresting-- Laundry Room edition

Hi Lovelies!

I know Saturday is almost over and I am just posting now. I have been busy with school work and house work all day and all evening.

I have been wanting to re-do (redesign?) my laundry room for quite some time now. I have been obsessively browsing Pinterest for some ideas that might work.

Laundry Room Inspiration:

I love this one, especially the backsplash.

I love the laundry baskets in this one.

I really need this in my laundry room.

A wall mounted lint bin!! Love it!!!

There's just a few ways that I would like to redesign my laundry room. How would you redesign any room in your house?

Have a great weekend!!

Friday Letters

Hi Lovelies!!!

Happy Friday!! I'm so sorry that I have been MIA for the last few weeks. Writer's block has reared it's ugly head yet again. I thought I would come back to my little space with an edition of "Friday Letters". I hope you enjoy!

Dear Hubby, thank you so much for helping me with my stickers. I love you so much and you are the most wickedly awesome hubby in the whole world!

Dear Little, you bring us so much joy and you light up our lives with your smile and your giggle. I love to watch you play with your toys, you make up some of the most interesting stories when you play with your cars and your dolls. And I just love listening to you sing "Let it Go". You sound so cute and I MUST get it on video soon.

Dear Kim Kardashian, all I can say is "WHY?" I just don't understand it.

Dear heater, thank you for keeping is warm and toasty during this cold snap that we are experiencing. Now, we need to remember to call the maintenance people to come and check you to make sure you continue to work correctly.

Dear cold weather, I wish you would bring some snow with you if insist on being this cold.

Dear Saturday, I have so much to do. Here is what is on the agenda:

You Spend Me Right Round

Hi Lovelies!

Don't you hate it when you get a song stuck in your head? Well, that has been happening to me all day. I have had the same three songs playing on rewind all day long. These happen to be songs that I listened to way back in the 80s ( only the best decade ever!!!). I would dance and sing to my heart's content in my room and just have fun. These songs were the soundtrack of my life. So here is a look into the kind of music that I love and that I hope to introduce the Little too very soon.

Here we go!! Enjoy and see if they get stuck in your head!

1. Mickey- Toni Basil

2.  Only in My Dreams- Debbie Gibson

3. 867-5309 Jenny- Tommy Tu Tone

4. Shout- Tears for Fears

5. Never Gonna Give You Up- Rick Astley

So, there are the songs that have been playing on repeat in my head all day long. As I said before, these are some of the songs that I consider the soundtrack of my life.

What are the songs that are playing on repeat in your head?

Halloween the Roseanne Way

Hi Lovelies!

Halloween is just a couple of weeks away and I thought I would share some of my favorite Halloween episodes from Roseanne. In fact TVLand aired all of the Halloween episodes and I watched all of them!! LOL!!!

Roseanne ran from 1988 to 1997 and starred Roseanne Barr and John Goodman. It was an original family sitcom that centered around a working class family struggling to make ends meet and who suffered the same problems as many of their viewers. From seasons 2 through 8, Roseanne had special Halloween episodes every year.

While most families (and TV shows at the time) would make a big fuss over Christmas, the Conners considered Halloween to be the best holiday of the year. The family would spare no expense to decorate their house and come up with most gruesome tricks to play on each other and their friends. They also expected for one another to come with the most creative and gruesome costumes and pranks.

Today, I would like to share a few of my favorite Halloween episodes from Roseanne.

1. Boo

First aired October 31, 1989.

Halloween is the Connor's favorite holiday and they go all out to make it the scariest, most gruesome holiday they can. Roseanne puts one over on Dan who is waiting to learn the outcome of a business deal.

2.  Trick or Treat

Originally aired October 30, 1990.

Roseanne dresses up as a lumberjack for Halloween. When she and Jackie have car trouble they stop in at the Lobo where Roseanne stays in character. In the meantime, Dan is worried that DJ wants to dress up as a witch.

3.  Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down

Originally aired October 29, 1991.

Roseanne is worried that her uptight neighbour Kathy Bowman will take revenge for the Halloween joke she played on her; Jackie flirts with a moose at the Lodge costume party who turns out to be her former boyfriend Booker (played by George Clooney).

4.  Halloween IV

Originally aired October 27, 1992

In a take off on A Christmas Carol, Roseanne is visited by the ghosts of Halloween past, future and present while she is at home alone. The spirits teach her a lesson about the Halloween spirit.

5.  Halloween V

Originally aired October 26, 1993

Roseanne falls for several jokes played on her by her family. She tries to get Dan to play a joke on her friend Nancy who is convinced that Dan doesn't like her, and Roseanne discovers that Darlene and David are dating.

6.  Skeleton in the Closet

Originally aired, October 26, 1994

Leon hosts a Halloween party at the Lunch Box for the staff and a few of his gay friends, many of whom seem to know his boyfriend Fred very well.

7.  Halloween The Final Chapter

Originally aired October 31, 1995

Roseanne is "Queen of the Gypsies, consort of wizards and seer of souls" on Halloween. An Ouija board sends a message and foretells an unexpected event...a new baby.

What are some of your favorite Halloween episodes from Roseanne?

~Angie

NOTE: I was not able to upload the videos from these episodes from Youtube. I apologize for that. I'm not sure why I wasn't able to.

Monday Blues

Hi Lovelies!

Well, Monday is almost over, but I have had the Monday Blues all day long. I have not been productive at all and I have so much to do around the house, with my classes, and orders from my shop.

Usually the only way to get rid of the Monday Blues is to have some snuggle time with the Little. Her laugh does wonders for my mood, reading a good book, taking a long walk, and snuggling with the Hubster.

What is your cure for the Monday Blues?
