Blogging Fail

Hi Lovelies!

Sorry I have been blogging consistently. I hope to be back to blogging regularly in a few days. It's just that I have been so busy with my class and trying to tie up all of the loose ends before my next class starts next Thursday.

I'm in paper writing mode and plan to work on my last paper for my current class starting sometime tomorrow. So please bear with me and keep coming back. I will be back with some recipes and some projects for St. Patrick's Day. So stay tuned Lovelies!!

Have a wonderful Friday!

Ramblings on a Saturday

Hello Lovelies!

Happy Saturday night everyone! I hope you have had a fun filled day. We have been spending as much time as we can outside for the last few days. We never know when the cold weather will make an appearance, so we have been trying to soak up as much sun as we can. My day has been packed with normal housework, making homemade pizza and breadsticks for supper and just playing with the Little.

* I just wanted to share some thoughts with you in today's post. Enjoy!

* The Little's birthday invitations were delivered a few days ago. I'm so excited for her birthday. I cannot believe that she will be 4 in a few weeks. Times goes by so fast!

* I must check on the Little more than a dozen times throughout the night. I check to make sure she is still there, still breathing as any parent would do. When I get in her room I see that she is sleeping peacefully and I relax. She looks so peaceful when she is sleeping. I just love her!

* My In-Laws cam for a visit and it was actually pleasant.

* Tonight is supposed to be Date Night, but both the Mister and I have projects due in our classes. So, date nigh has been moved to sometime next week.

* I have paper due in a few days and I just cannot seem to motivate myself to work on it.

Have a great evening Lovelies!!! See ya tomorrow!!

I confess.

I confess.....I'm slightly obsessed with my new Ninja Blender and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I confess....my heart melted when my daughter ran to her potty chair ( I ran with her) she turned around and said to me; "Mom, go back in there, I need my quiet". Isn't she the cutest or what?

I confess...that I might get more excited about the Little using the potty than she does. I'm mean to the point that I'm jumping up and down and clapping my hands.

I confess....that I'm getting excited about planning the Little's 4th birthday party. I can't wait to make my vision come to life next month.

I confess.....I had the best time tonight talking to a great group of girls tonight. So much fun!

I confess.....that I'm obsessed with my planners. Yes, I said planners. I currently work out of 3 of them and I'm about to add a fourth one. I'm a planner nerd.

I confess....that I'm a little scared to open my Etsy store. What if no one likes what I am creating and what if it doesn't work out. I know if I don't try I will never know. So, I plan on having the store opened my Monday, February 24th. Be on the lookout for the announcement.

I confess....that I hate working out. It's a pain but you gotta do what you gotta do. Am I right?

Happy Thursday Lovelies!!!

Busy Bees

Hi Lovelies!

How is everyone doing? We have been busy little bees over here the last few days. We are in the midst of potty training the Little. She had been doing a great job telling when she needs to go the bathroom (sometimes she pees and sometimes she doesn't). At my last count she has actually used the potty a total of 6 times, mostly in the morning as soon as she wakes up and then again at night. We are letting her set her own pace in the potty training. I have learned that you can't rush her in anything, because if you do then she will just stop what she is doing. We have plenty of time, she will master the potty training thing soon.

I have been busy working on my paper for my current class, Research Methods. And this is what I did Saturday night:

Yes, that's Bret Michaels from Rock of Love seasons 1-3. I'm watching it on Hulu and I just finished seasons 1 and 2 and now I'm on season 3. It's a train wreck, but it sure is fun to watch! LOL!!! These girls just crack up.

Other than working on my class, we have been spending lots and lots and lots of time outside just running and playing superheros with the Little.

Any way that's what we have been up to the last few days. I'll be back later this evening with another post!!

Have a great day!!!

Beautiful Day

Hi Lovelies!

Now the U2 song is stuck in your head, right? Well, if it's not then it will be after you watch this! LOL!

Anyways, it's beautiful here today! As much as loved the 12+ inches of snow from last week I'm glad that it has melted and we can roam among the living once again or until the next batch of winter weather decides to cover us in a blanket of the white stuff.

Today, we plan on taking advantage of the sunshine bu going for walks, playing outside with the Little, and just soaking up some rays.

Wherever you are, stay warm and enjoy this time with your families!

Have a nice day!!

10 Things That Women With Big Boobs Can Simply Never Do

As one of these women, everything on this list has happened to me. Yes, I was blessed cursed with big boobs. I just happened to have developed early when I was in elementary school. Silly Things That Annoy Me

Hi Lovelies!

Certain things annoy me. Things like the way the cords are messy behind the TV and the stickers that are stuck on every wall in my house (thanks to my daughter, and I can't bring myself to take them down). I'm sure I'm not the only who feels this way. So, I thought I would write down a list of things that are particularly annoying to me.

Here we go:

1) Wet bath mats
2) An unmade bed
3) People who write attention seeking Facebook statuses
4) People who talk down to me
5) The tile floors in my house (hate it!)

Hi Lovelies!

It's Friday!! I found this linkup and decided it would be fun to participate in. So, have fun and enjoy my high five on Friday.

{One}

Hot Chocolate and Apple Cider. It has been so cold here that I have been drinking one of these every night for the last week.

{Two}

Baking the best chocolate chip cookies with the Little yesterday. We had so much fun, flour flew every where, and there were a million giggles.

{Three}

The Mister and The Little gave me my birthday present a few days early. And let me just say that he knows me so well.

I can't wait to start reading this!!

{Four}

We have had a ton of family togetherness this week and I am greatful for that. We have been having so much fun building forts in the living room, baking cookies, and watching movies together.

{Five}

I finally found a system for organizing my planners. It has taken me some time to figure this out, and I think I finally found something that is working for me.

Have a wonderful Friday Lovelies!!

You Know You're a Mom When......

There are certain things that only a mom can understand. From the feeling of the holding your child for the first time to screaming with joy when your toddler pee pees in the potty for the first time.

These moments are only experienced through motherhood. So, here is a list of "You know you're a mom when":

You know you're a mom when......

1) you realize you're swaying without holding a baby

2) you've sacrificed your phone or keys to baby drool to make it through the store

3) the food on the floor of your car can feed an army

4) your clothing budget is used up on someone else

5) you hide in the bathroom to make a call (this has happened more than once, and oh the fits that are thrown)

6) you walked around the whole day with a sticker stuck your behind (yes this has happened more than once)

7) your kid/kids had an organic breakfast and your were fueled by coffee and cookies

8) your first instinct is to catch puke

9) your find yourself singing songs in public

10) dishes and laundry are never done, they are just in progress

11) you've cleaned the house with baby wipes

12) you've used the bathroom while holding your baby (I still do this when she insists on going into the bathroom with me).

13) your kid/kids is/are dressed beautifully, while you are still in your pajamas

14) burp clothes are a wardrobe staple

15) you use the words like potty, heiny, and tushy

So What Wednesday

Hi Lovelies!

What's up with the weather? It seems last week we were in the 50s and 60s, and now we are in the single digits and teens with snow on the ground and more to come tonight and tomorrow. We have had the heater on back up (emergency heat) and we have had to run the humidifier so the air will not be so dry. I'm so ready for Spring to get here!!!!

I thought I would like up with Shannon from Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday (I just noticed the new format.....Opps!!). Here's what I'm saying So What to:

So What If:

I ate a few chocolate chip cookies today. It's not going to ruin my diet. I just needed something for the Little to do since she is getting stir crazy from staying in for the last week due to the weather. Besides, we had some much needed mother-daughter time.

The laundry is still sitting in baskets and in the dryer. Who says I need to fold it and put it away as soon as it's finished.  We still have plenty of clothes in the closets, so we should be okay.

We skip bathtime a few times a week. Sometimes it's better for both the Little and me. No chasing her through the house on these nights.

I have a paper due tonight and I haven't started writing it yet. It's only 500 words so I know I can get it finished and submitted in a few hours.

I'm obsessed with my Erin Condren Life Planner. I keep my entire life in it, and it keeps me sane. (I've had it since last July and I plan on reviewing in the next few weeks).

I'm obsessed with American Idol and I don't care what the Mister says. I'm watching it and enjoying the judges this season.

Happy Hump Day Lovelies!!!

Tasty Tuesday- Pretzel Bites

Hi Lovelies!

I wanted to share a simple recipe with you for easy Pretzels Bites which I found here: http://www.justgetoffyourbuttandbake.com . When I was searching for some simply and easy recipes for snacks for the Superbowl, I found these beauties. These are tasty even without the salt and they got two thumbs up from the Mister.

 (pic taken by me)

Now, when I made these I did not follow the recipe. I did not make the vanilla glaze and I did not make the cheese sauce (I used the Campbell's cheese soup only because my store was actually out of the block mild cheddar cheese.

PRETZEL BITES

Texas size Rhodes Frozen roll dough
*as many as you like – each roll makes four bites
coarse salt, parmesan, garlic, cinnamon & sugar
Vanilla glaze (optional)

Take a thawed roll.  Cut it in four equal sections.  Place dough bites on greased sheets. I placed five across and five down on large baking sheets.  Cover with plastic wrap that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, and let dough rise until double in size. (about 35-45 minutes) Bring a large pot of water to a gentle boil.  When dough has risen, plop about 10 pieces into the boiling water, tossing gently for about 45 seconds. Remove with slotted spoon, and place bites on paper towels to drain slightly.  Move bites to greased baking sheets, and bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes or until done and golden brown.

Brush bites with melted butter, sprinkle with Kosher or Sea Salt, garlic and toss in Parmesan cheese.  You can also make Cinnamon and Sugar bites. Make a mixture of Cinnamon and sugar:  About 1 cup sugar and 1 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon, and mix together well. After you butter the pretzel bites, toss in cinnamon and sugar mixture.

You can serve the Parmesan Pretzel bites with a cheddar dip, and the Cinnamon and Sugar Pretzel bites with Vanilla glaze.  So yummy . . . so simple!

VANILLA GLAZE
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract.
Combine sugar, milk, butter and vanilla and mix well.

CHEDDAR DIP
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 1/2  to 2 cups of grated Cheddar Cheese.

Melt the butter in a med. size saucepan over medium heat.  Add the flour and stir until blended, and
butter has turned lightly golden brown.  Slowly whisk in the milk and cook until thickened slightly.  Remove from heat and stir in the Cheddar Cheese until smooth and all of the cheese has melted.  Season with salt and pepper.  Shake a few red pepper flakes into sauce for added zing!

Potty talk and some quotes

Hi Lovelies!

We had a great day! We are in the middle of potty training the Little, and we are so proud of her. She has used the potty on her own a total of four times, and one of those times was in the middle of the night. These four times have been intermittently, but we are happy with her progress. She can recognize when she needs to go to the bathroom, she sits on the potty, and sometimes she uses the bathroom and sometimes she doesn't, but she is learning and we are happy.

Anyway, I wanted to share some quotes that are some of my favorites. So, here we go:

Quote #1

Quote #2

Quote #3

Have a wonderful night! I will be back later with my Sunday Social post.
