Pics of some of my dream bathrooms

Hi Lovelies!

I just thought I would share some of favorite bathrooms. I think I see a theme here! All white and chandeliers. They are just so gorgeous and they look so relaxing. I can see myself in any of these bathrooms. Someday I will have a bathroom like the first one! It's my favorite!

Nothing like a chandelier over the tub.

I love this tub! So gorgeous!

So white, and so shiny! Again, love the tub!

So cozy.

What an amazing view!

Simply gorgeous!

Have a great Monday Lovelies!!

Saturday

Hi Lovelies!

Today was a great day! We spent most of it outside playing with the Little. It was a gorgeous day, the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, and the slightest of breezes.

We opened all of the windows, turned the A/C off, and turned on the fans. I did most of my housework. I still have to spot clean the bathrooms and fold the laundry, but that's it. I hope tomorrow is just as nice.

Have a nice evening! Sleep tight!

Tough Questions

As I was browsing the internets I came across these questions and thought it would fun to answer them. These questions really make you think and they are difficult to answer.

 Let's get personal!

1. If you could do one thing differently in your life, what would it be?

I would have to say college. I would definitely choose a different major.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I would like have added another little one to our family. Also, I hope to be living exactly where we are right now.

3. Do you honestly want kids?

Considering that we have "A" I think the answer is pretty obvious. She is the light of eyes and we love her to the moon and back. We thankful that we get to be her parents. We would like to give her a sibling, but if it doesn't happen, then we are completely happy with just her.

4. What has been the best moment of your life so far?

By far, the day "A" was born and we became a family of three. I will never forget the look on my husband's face when they placed her in his arms. It was priceless.

5. What is your life theme song?

I'm going to have to think about this one!

6. What is the one thing you have yet to accomplish that you want to do before you die?

I would love to be debt free, I know it's small, but it's something I would like to have happen.

7. If you could choose one thing to be known for, what would it be?

Being a kind hearted friend

8. If you could do you anything you wanted right in this very moment (no consequences, no fear, etc) what would it be?

Maybe.....move the beach/ocean (California or Florida)

9. What is the most challenging moment in your life?

I'm experiencing it right now. Being a first time mom, every first my daughter has is a first for me as well. I'm new to this parenting thing, so hopefully I will figure it out.

10. Summarize yourself in one word.

Devoted. I'm 1000% devoted to my family. They are the most important people in my life.

Have a nice evening, well, what's left of it!

The Two Days that Changed My Life

August 5, 2009

This is a day that Paul and I will always remember, because this is the day that we found out we were going to be parents. I woke up that morning and decided to take a pregnancy test only because I hasn't been feeling well since the weekend. So I woke up at 6AM and decided to take the test. I followed the instructions that were in the box and as I waited the 3 minutes I kept seeing a very, very faint line. Once the 3 minutes were up, I went into the bedroom and told Paul to get up that I had something to tell him. Well, he literally jumped out of bed and by this time I was a blubbering idiot and I told him that "I think I'm pregnant"!!! He thought I was crying because I was upset about it, but I was crying happy tears!!! Paul just held me and let me cry and he was just as happy as I was!!!

I went to the lab to get the blood work done that afternoon and the pregnancy was confirmed on Thursday 8-6-09. I remember thinking that would I was finally going to be able to say these words:

I WAS PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

March 23, 2010

This is another day that I will always, always remember, because it was the day my daughter was born and Paul and I become parents for the first time. My labor was fairly easy although I did have to have a c-section (every time I would push she would go down, then I would stop and she would go back up). It is an experience that I will never ever forget.

I will never forget the look of amazement on Paul's when she was placed in his arms. They just kept staring at each other, while I was watching them and crying. When I was finally able to hold her all I could thing was I can't believe we made this wonderfully, beautiful baby girl. She brings so much joy to our lives. We love her so much and we would do anything in the world for her.

Life is Good!

The last few weeks have been rough on us. I posted about the knot on my husband's here. He had several tests run on his thyroid last month and everything came back normal. The good news was that his thyroid was functioning normally. The bad new was that we still did not know what was causing the knot on his neck. So, last week he went to see an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor who took a series of biopsies from his neck. At this time we were both worried that he has some type of cancer. The tests were performed on Wednesday, but Sunday we had the results-- there was no cancer!!! We were elated, we were praising God.

Fast forward to this past Wednesday....he went back to the same doctor for a scope on his throat. At this appointment, he was told that the knot on his throat is actually part of his thyroid, that was dead and the other half is compensating for it. This is was is causing the swelling in his neck. He was told that he had severe acid reflux, because his throat and vocal cords were burned. So, he was told to take prevacid and to change his diet to a low carb diet.

To make a long story short, he doesn't have cancer and in a few weeks he will go back to the doctor to check the acid reflux, and then he and his doctor will discuss removing the swollen part of his thyroid.

Life is good!!!

So What! Wednesday

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Hump Day! We finally half way to the weekend! YAAAAY!!!!!! I thought I would like up with Shannon for So What! Wednesday.

This week I'm saying So What If......

I'm beyond excited about our new lawn mover. It's gas powered and I won't have to use this one anymore!

I occasionally miss naptime.

I'm excited to open my esty shop in a few short weeks! It's something that I have always wanted to do.

I hid Angelina's two favorite movies, The Smurfs and The Muppet Movie. I need a break from the little blue people and the puppets.

I don't feel guilty about hiding the movies.

I am actually excited to watch the NFL draft with Husby.

That's it for me! What are you saying SO What to this week?

Tasty Tuesday- Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches

Hi Lovelies!

I love a good cheesesteak sandwich, I mean who doesn't, right? I'm always in search of new ways to tweak the current recipe and I think I have found the perfect one. With this particular recipe I make substitutions so that my husband can enjoy it too. I usually take half of the steak mixture and make it the way that my husband likes it, and then I take the other half of the steak and use the original recipe.  I actually found this recipe on facebook, here is the link:

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches

SANDWICH INGREDIENTS

• 1 small onion, thinly sliced
• 1/2 of a green pepper, thinly sliced
• 4-6 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
• salt, pepper for seasoning
• 1 and 1/4 pounds top sirloin steak
• 1-2 tablespoons canola oil or vegetable oil
• 4 soft hoagie rolls
• 8 White american cheese slices or 8 pepper-jack cheese slices
• Mayo or chipotle mayo

CHIPOTLE MAYO INGREDIENTS

• 1/2 cup mayo
• 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
• 1/2 tablespoon sauce from the adobo pepper can
• 1 tablespoon lime juice
• Dash of salt
• Dash of pepper

DIRECTIONS

1. 1 hour before cooking, place steak in the freezer.

2. When you’re ready to start cooking, pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.

3. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook veggies until tender.

4. While the veggies are cooking, remove the steak from the freezer and use a very sharp knife to slice the meat as thinly as possible against the grain.

5. When the veggies are done cooking, heat 1 tablespoon canola oil over medium high heat.

6. Place 4 hoagie rolls in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until nice and warm, but not crunchy.

7. Add half the meat to the pan and season with a bit of salt and pepper. Cook for a few minutes until it is cooked through. Set aside.

8. Heat a bit more oil if needed and cook the other half of the meat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Return the first batch of meat to the pan, stir in veggies if yo wish, and top with cheese. Use 8 pepper jack cheese slices for a spicy version, or 8 white American cheese slices for a classic version. Place the cheese over the meat and when it starts to melt, stir the cheese into the meat and veggie mixture.

9. Divide the meat among the 4 hoagie rolls.

10. If using chipotle mayo, combine all ingredients in a blender (mayo, chipotle pepper, chipotle sauce, lime juice, salt and pepper) and slather desired amount on each roll. Otherwise spread a thin layer of regular mayo on the roll.

11. Cut in half and serve immediately.

12. Serves 4.

Bon Appetite!

Happy Homemaker Monday

Hi Lovelies! Today has been a great day. We recieved so great news concerning my husband. We have just been enjoying life and just spending time together today.

I'm linking up with Sandy for Happy Homemaker Monday again. Enjoy!

The Weather.....

We have been enjoying the warmer weather lately. I think we have been outside every day for the last week. I know we need the rain, but I could really do without the severe weather.

Right now I am.....

writing this post and working on a paper comparing and contrasting group counseling sessions and listening to by beloved 80's music.

Thinking.....

that God is Awesome! My husband recently had a cancer scare. He had to have biopsies taken from his neck (he has a mass the size of a golf ball) and we recieved his results today. NO CANCER!!!!!! We are praising the Lord today!!!!!! He has an appointment on Wednesday to discuss his options (we think it will have to be removed). We are so happy and so relieved.
On my reading pile.....

Right now, I'm still reading the Sweet Valley High series ( I'm re-reading these because I can read one book every night and they are an easy read, plus they are really enjoyable)

And I have added this one on my KindlePC
