13 Ways to Drink More Water Every Day

These tricks make drinking water less of a chore.

1.  Set a specific goal for the day. Start by figuring out how much you consume now, and how much you should consume. Then zero in on real numbers like going from 3 glasses to 8 glasses per day.

2.  Invest in a water bottle that you will actually use and keep it close by.

3.  Or DIY a custom bottle with deadlines. An easy way to keep you goals in sight.

4.  Use an app to track your progress. Free apps like waterlogged and daily water help track, store, and analyze your water consumption.

5. Infuse your water with fruits, vegetables, and even herbs.

6.  Get motivated with a filter that also lets you give back.

7.  Squeeze a drink into the daily routines you already have.

8. Use a straw.

9.  Make a water wager. Ask friends and family to join you, make it a goal to drink at least 5 glasses per day.

10. Hydrate with water based foods. Foods like cucumbers, salad greens, grapefruit, cantaloupe, and watermelon rank high in water conent and help keep you hydrated throughout the day.

11 Or order something spicy.

12. Cut juice with sparkling water

13. Switch things up other H20 based beverages.

9 Ways to Get More Out of Your Day

Do you always feel pressed for time? So, you are certainly not alone. Lack of time can be detrimental to our physical, emotional, and spiritual well being. When we are pressed for time, we tend to exercise less, spend less time with family and friends, and spend little time on our spiritual well being and growth.

Here are some simple ways you can begin to take back some of your time:

1. set aside a certain amount of time each to do what you want to do.  Try an hour each day and if that is not possible start with smaller increments of time, like 15 minutes and then work your way up.

2.  doing something is better than doing nothing. Even if you cannot complete a task or projectit is better to break the task into smaller chunks. This way the task is completed much quicker.

3. Learn to say "NO". This is not always easy, but it can make a huge difference. Try to set limits around how much you will do and when.

4.  Bundle your tasks. Save up errands that are not so important so that you can do them closer together logistically so that they can be completed much quicker.

5.  Delegate. How much is your time worth? It may be worth the cost of hiring someone to do things like mow your lawn, clean your house, and you will suddenly be given more time. It's more than okay to ask for help.

6.  Do the yucky stuff first. Take care of the tasks that you dislike first.

7.  Are the things you feel you "have" to do really necessary it can be easy to get caught up in the details to the detriment of the big picture.

8.  Take an honest look at the activities and people in your life that are "energy drainers".

9.  And most importantly, set aside time each week to do something special.

Weekend in Review

Good Morning Lovelies, how was your weekend?

Well, here in southwest Oklahoma we have been dealing near freezing tempertures and lots and lots of rain, plus some thunderstorms thrown for good measure. Thankfully the ice storm that has been predicted never materialized. We pretty much stayed home, played superheros and ninjas with the girls, and I even read for a while.

Yesterday I got up, picked up the living room and dining room, started a load of laundry, and made some yummy muffins for breakfast. Then I did some computer and blog work, made a list of businesses to email about advertising opportunities, and read some more.

Than we watched the Dallas/Greenbay game this afternoon. This games was a total nail biter and the 'Boys played with all their heart, but came up short due to a shitty call made by the refs.

After the game we watched Zootopia with the girls and then I put them to bed right after the movie.

Even though we spent the weekend at home, we enjoyed spending time together as a family. It was relaxing as well as loads of fun.

How I Plan My Week

Hi Lovelies!!

I thought I would share how I plan out my weeks in my planner. This takes about 30 to 60 minutes on Sundays and then about 10 minutes each night.

Sunday:

3. Newspaper work (To Do, ads, emails)
4. events/set time committments (kids schools, events, appointments)
5. meals ( I use a meal planner that I created to plan our meals and grocery lists. I then transfer them to the bottom boxes in my planner).
6. Build Monday out with tasks and errands

Mondays and Tuesdays:

1. inventory what was done, check boxes
2. plan out next day

Blogging Goals for 2017

It's that time again... to set blogging goals for 2017. Now, I'm not going to be buying my own domain and I won't be taking any fancy photography classes.... but I do have a few goals that I would like to achieve in 2017:

 1. Increase my page views.

2. I would love to gain more loyal readers.

3. Create a posting schedule. I always have a difficult time keeping up with a posting schedule, so my goal is to start posting at least 4x per week.

4. Comment on more blogs.

5. Learn how to use Ad sense and to install it on my blog.

What are your blogging goals for 2017?

January 2017 Goals

Happy New Year Lovelies!!

Only three days in to the new year and I am fired up!!! Now, I know that's any easy attitude to have this early in the game, but I don't care because I feel like this year is going to be amazing. Although I have had problems in the past with writing goals then setting out to achieve them, I am hoping that setting and writing my monthly goals will be the best approach in achieving them.

My primary focus for this month is to get back to a consistent fitness routine. I know this will be difficult because I have two kids, and one of them is in the clingy stage right now, but I am determined to make this into a daily habit that I can keep up with throughout the year.

My health and fitness goals for January 2017:

1. Lose 5 pounds
2. Walk 5x per week (either outside or using a walking dvd)
3. Practice yoga 3x per week
4. Increase water intake
5. Eat healthier and cut down the amount of sweets that I make and eat

Business goals for January 2017:

1. Write/publish issue #2 of Slice of Life newspaper
2. Email 5 businesses about advertising per day
3. Sell 10-15 ads this month
4. Help more with the layout more often

Personal goals for January 2017:

1. Sleep at least 6 hours per night
2. Write down at least one thing that I am grateful for each night
3. Learn to relax and destress
4. Read 3 books for my reading challenge

I return to the real world and adulting on Thursday and the Big Girl returns to school. I am so ready to get back into a routine and I hope to start achieving these goals as soon as possible.

What is ONE thing you want to accomplish this month?
