I'm in Party Planning Mode

Hi Lovelies! Happy Wednesday! Today, I'm in party planning mode for our superbowl party and my birthday party. I'm so excited for both. I have been searching the internets, mainly pinterest, to find the perfect cherry limeade recipe and I think I have found it. I can't wait to make it.

Here is the recipe:

Sonic Cherry Limeaid

12 oz (or 1 can) Sprite,
3 lime wedges,
1/4 cup cherry juice (Libby's Juicy Juice is best).

Fill a 16 oz glass with 2/3 ice. Pour Sprite over ice. Add 3 lime wedges. Add cherry juice & serve with straw. Makes a 16 oz drink.

I can't find the correct link, but I did find it on pinterest.

Here are the menus that I am planning for both parties:

Superbowl Party Menu:

Hoagies
Chips and dip
Veggie tray
Cheesecake
Cherry Limeaids

Birthday Party Menu:

Shredded beef/BBQ beef sandwiches
Potato salad
Veggie Tray
Ice Cream Floats
Birthday cake with a picture of the cast from the breakfast club on it

This is pic I would like to use.

I can't wait for these two parties! I have tons of cleaning to do before both parties and with Husby's help I know I can get it done.

Take care Lovelies! Enjoy your Wednesday!

Tasty Tuesday- Lasanga Roll Ups

Hi Lovlies!

I have been in a rut with my weekly menu plan for some time now. I tend to make the same things week in and week out, for example, Tuesday have been for taco, Saturdays for roast, and Sundays for beans and cornbread. Well, Husby told me this past weekend that he is tired of the menu and that I need to mix it up a little. So I decided to turn to the internets and search for some new recipes. The first place I decided to look was Kraftfoods.com and found the recipe below. I plan to make this sometime this week. I need to make a grocery run soon to get the ingredients. Hopefully this will be our meal for Friday night. I will take pics and post a review of it this weekend.

I plan to make a few modifications to the recipe so Husby can eat it (he can't have tomato sauce). I plan to substitute chicken and a white sauce with cream cheese and the spices that Husby can eat. Here is the recipe from Kraftfoods.com. Enjoy Lovelies!

Pic via Kraftrecipes.com
16 lasagna noodles

1lb.  lean ground beef

1 large  onion, chopped

1 jar  (24 oz.) spaghetti sauce, divided

1 cup  KRAFT Finely Shredded Italian* Five Cheese Blend

1 cup  water

1/2 cup  KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Make It

HEAT oven to 375ºF.
COOK lasagna noodles as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, brown meat with onions in large skillet; drain. Return to skillet. Stir in 1 cup spaghetti sauce and shredded cheese. Mix remaining spaghetti sauce and 1 cup water; spread 1 cup onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish.
DRAIN noodles. Spread each with 1/4 cup meat mixture; roll up. Place, seam-sides down, over sauce in dish. Top with remaining sauce and Parmesan; cover.
BAKE 50 min. to 1 hour or until heated through, uncovering for the last 10 min.

Sunday Social

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Sunday! It's time for Sunday Social with Neely.

 Here are this weeks questions:

What is your ideal way to relax?

On the couch, snuggling under a warm blanket, reading a good book

Where is your favorite place to be?

At home with my hubby and daughter

Who do you consider your biggest role model?

I never know how to respond to this particular question because I can never pinpoint just one person.

What does your life look like in 3 years?

I hope to have added to our family and to have my master's degree by then.

If you could go back and change one decision, what would it be?

I don't think I would change anything. Because of the decisions that I have made life, I wouldn't have what I have today.

What is your big accomplishment in life thus far?

My daughter!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

I love the 80s

I love the 80s. I have always called myself a child of the 80s because I love the music, the movies, the tv shows, and the fashion. So here are my top 10 things from the 80s.

The TV shows:

The shows were the best. It seemed that all family problems were solved in 30 minutes or less. I wish it was like that in real life.

The Music:

What can I say. It was the best, especially the "hair bands".

And don't forget "bubble gum pop" from artists like Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, and Madonna.

The Movies:

They don't make movies like these anymore. I loved all of the movies. From the Lost Boys to Pretty in Pink and all the others in between. Who could forget Jake Ryan or The Coreys.

The Toys:

Who could forget the toys!!! They were the best!! I loved Cabbage patch kids and the care bears. Seriously the 80s had the best toys ever!!!

The Sayings:

So there you have it, why I live the 80s. It was one of the best times of my life.

Now, I'm going to starting this class later today:

Wow, let me just say that I don't need pictures to illustrate the concepts in the book!!! I mean Boy Howdy the pics are very detailed if you get my meaning ;)

Anyway, I think I will do okay in the class, even though I have 4 papers in the class and the class is only 8 weeks long. I'm going to be putting together a study schedule for the class later today!

I'll be back later today with another post for you later!
