Baby Girl - 23 weeks

Hi Lovelies!!

Here is my update for this week!!

Today is: April 25, 2015

How far along: 23 weeks

Total weight gain: 15 pounds

Baby is the size of: A grapefruit. About 10.5 to 11 inches in length and just over a pound.

What's going on with the babe: Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing. Loud noises that she hears are now becoming more familiar, and she should be able to hear all 3 of our voices! Her face is fully formed now - just needs some more fat. :)

What's going on with Mama:  Swelling is likely around this time, which I am experiencing, and heartburn has gotten worse.

Baby is:  A Girl!!!

Maternity clothing: Bottoms, absolutely. Tops, still wearing non-maternity which means that i am wearing men's t-shirts size 3X to 4X.

Sleep: Tossing and turning with potty breaks in the middle of the night. Also, I am snoring and loudly too.

Movement: Lots of it and I love it!!

Cravings/Aversions:  Nothing too specific this week.

Symptoms:
- heartburn
- out of breath quicker
-Acne

How has this pregnancy been different than the first:
- I was tossing and turning a little bit with Angelina. Also, I was getting tired pretty early with her. With this one, I'm staying up pretty late.

How big sister was this week: She is so excited to be a big sister!! We are also having a rough bedtime routine lately. Hopefully that will change soon.

The best moment(s) of this past week: Time with my family.

I'm looking forward to:  Planning our baby shower!!

Motherhood is...

To me, it is---

- waking up every time she makes a noise on the monitor and find it nearly impossible to go back to sleep.

- finding new and creative ways to get her to eat because she is such a picky eater.

- sneaking into your child's room when they are sleeping to watch them dream.

- kissing boo boos and telling them it will be okay.

- cleaning up the pile of toys and books only to have them scattered all over the floor five minutes later and realizing that it is okay and to just go with the flow.

- crying at random times because you hope you are not screwing them up.

- going shopping only to find yourself spending money on clothes for your kid instead of on yourself without even realizing it.

- loving another so unconditionally and knowing that you are willing to sacrifice anything just make sure that their needs are being met.

What is motherhood to you?

March Goals

Hi Lovelies!!

I decided to sit down this evening and organize my March (in my planner)  and to jot down some goals that I want to accomplish. Now, I can't recap my goals for February, because I didn't make any (oops).

So here's what I'm planning for March in the terms of goals:

1. Implement a cleaning routine.

In order to accomplish this I will following The Flylady. I have seen this on facebook and it seems to be working for most. I just hope I can stick with it this time. I have tried a few times and have just given up. This time I will stick with it and my house will be clean and decluttered by the end of the month.

2. Plan the Little's birthday party.

We have the place reserved for the day that we have picked and all we need to now is to order the birthday cake and buy the decorations.

3. Have a fun spring break.

We need to plan a fun trip.

4. Work on the nursery.

The room and closet need to be cleaned out, the crib needs to put together and there is a list that just goes on and on and on.

5. Work the Little's bedroom (Frozen theme).

She wants a Frozen theme, so I'll see what I can pull together. Pinterest, here I come!!

Well, those are my goals for March. What goals do you have planned for March?
