Sunday Social

Hi Lovelies!

It's Sunday and that means it's time for Sunday Social with Neely!  Here are this week's questions:

1. What is your favorite movie of all time?

This is a hard question because there are so many movies that I like. If I had to choose just one movie that is my all time favorite it would have to be Grease. I just love everything about this movie from the plot, to the music, to the clothes. It's just fun movie.

 2. What is your favorite movie quote?

One of my favorite quotes is from one of my favorite 80s movies, The Breakfast Club.

3. What is the best movie to watch for a girl's night in?

Again, it's hard to pick just one movie, so I'm going to list my top three movies for a girl's night in-- (in particular order)

4. What is the best break up movie?

Hands down- The Break Up

5. Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?

I just don't know. I guess if I had to name one person I would have to say maybe Melissa McCarthy.

6. Which star's closet would you want to raid?

Reese Witherspoon. I would love to raid her closet!

Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Weekend Shenanigans

Hi Lovelies!

The weekend went by so fast and I wish it could have lasted longer. Even though we did not do much, we did relax. Here's what we did.

Friday:

We spent the morning outside playing and doing some yard work. When Husby and A went in I decided to mow the back yard. When I finished the back yard, we decided to take A into town. She wanted to go to Kmart and we obliged. We ended up having a blast playing with all of the toys. A had so much fun and she even came back with her very first Thomas the train, train set.

Saturday:

We decided to spend the day at home playing outside with A and watching movies in the afternoon. It was a low key day but also very relaxing.

Sunday:

We went to church, came home and spend the day relaxing and watching movies (again) and reading books with A. It was a pretty low key day as well. We just relaxed and enjoyed having family time.

So, how did you spend your weekend?

Sunday Social

Hi Lovelies! It's been a busy weekend! I'm linking up for Sunday Social. Here are this week's questions:

1. What is your favorite store to shop at?

I don't shop much, but when I do I do most of it at Target.
2. If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?

I'm not very familiar with designers but I would have to say maybe Chanel.

3. Must have closet staple?

Yoga pants and leggings.

4. Favorite kind of shoes?

Since I only own three pairs of shoes (hangs head in shame) I really don't have a favorite shoe ( this does need to change).

5. Best clothing deal you’ve ever gotten? (sale or amazing find)

I did find a pair of Reebok shoes for a steal the last time I bought shoes.  I think I might have spent $20 on them.

6. Style you’d love to try?

Honestly? Any style!!

Movie Screening in the Sooner State

Hi Lovelies!

It's the weekend! Happy Saturday!

I found out a few hours ago that Johnny Depp was in my hometown!

And..... he was screening his new movie "The Lone Ranger" and I freaking missed it!!!

This is the second time he has been there I have missed both times. I can't believe it! One of these days Ladies.... one of these days.

Johnny Depp is one of favorite actors and I love all of his movies. I have has a secret crush on him ever since I saw him in A Nightmare on Elm Street and 21 Jump Street. He is such an amazing actor and his characters are just so unique although some of them are a bit strange. But I think that's what makes him such a great actor.

Has anyone seen the trailer for "The Lone Ranger" ? Are you going to see the movie?

Have a great weekend Lovelies!

The Name Game

Names are a tricky thing. Most new parents fiercely guard their baby's name until he or she is born. My husband and I did this with our daughter's name. We had foolishly told some friends and family that name we had originally chosen for her, Mercedes Taylor or Ruby Diane, but our friends and family told us that they did not like the names we had chosen for our baby girl. We had chosen Ruby Diane, because she would have been named after her great grandmother and her grandmother. Mercedes Taylor was name that both of us liked. Taylor is my husband's middle name. It wasn't until the 20 week ultrasound that we finally decided on a name. When we saw her profile, Paul mentioned that she had my mouth and then said "we could name her after you- Angelina". She also has Paul's middle name which is Taylor. So, she is actually named after both of us. Pretty cool story, huh? If you like this one, I think you'll like the story of how my parents came up with my name.

When  I was born, my dad wanted to name me "Winifred Josephine" (after his mom) and my mom wanted to name me "Rosa Lena" (after her mom). Neither one liked the names, so my dad suggested that they combine the two first names and make that my middle name, Rosa Winifred. I'm not sure where my first name came from, I think one on my aunts suggested it. My mom told my dad that if he could fit the entire name on the little line on the birth certificate then that would be my name. Well, he was able to even though it was written in tiny writing. So, yeah, I'm a girl who has two middle names.

How did you get your name?

Have a great evening!!

Who Am I?

Hi Lovelies!
Tonight I'm linking up with Becky for Mrs. to Mama for 52 weeks of blogging with a purpose. This week's prompt is "Who am I".

I'm a mom. I became a mom in March of 2010 to a beautiful baby girl.
I'm a wife. I became a wife in December of 2009, we have been married for 3 1/2 years, but we have been together for 20 years.
I'm an 80s music fan. I love to listen to Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, etc.
I love to take pictures and to capture the simple moments of our lives.
I'm someone who is scared of spiders.
I'm not a fan of laundry, especially the folding and putting away part.
I love to cook and bake, and I consider myself an accomplished baker.
I love finding and watching new movies and TV shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
I'm not a fan of change. I will eventually accept it, but I'm still not a fan.
I love to watch 80s movies, especially, the Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, and Some Kind of Wonderful.
I firmly believe that chocolate and peanut butter were made for each other.
I'm addicted to reality TV especially, Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Pretty Wicked Moms.
