What I'm Loving Wednesday

Hi Lovelies!!

Tonight I'm sharing a list of all of my ridiculous obsessions. If these types of posts have taught me anything, it's this: I'm so basic and I am happy with that.

1. How I Met Your Mother

I recently discovered this gem of a TV show on Netflix. I have been watching it during our early morning feeding times (2AM and 6AM) and I have been enjoying it.

2. Farmer's Markets

3.  Candy Corn M&Ms

These are seriously the greatest things!! Love them!!!

4. Nutella

I could eat this by the spoonful and I hate to admit it but I have. Several times!!

5. My new Monthly/Weekly Day Designer from Target

This is not a picture of my planner, but I do love it!! I like the schedule and the to do list and it has really helped me plan my day out more.

What are you loving this Wednesady?

Tuesday Tidbits

Hi Lovelies!!

Well, school is in full swing over here!! Angelina has been in kindergarten for a month and is really enjoying it. We had attempted to homeschool her for preschool but we quickly learned that she is more of a social learner and wants to be around kids her age. She is thriving and learning so so much!! We are so proud of her.

Cadence is 7 weeks today. It's amazing how much she has grown. She is such a sweet baby and is just the cutest thing in the world (I know, I am a bit biased).

Angelina has her first field trip in a couple of weeks. She is so excited about it.

I cannot believe that it's almost October and that Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner.

I finally started watching  The Voice and I am loving it more than American Idol.

Well, there you have it, just some of the things that I have been thinking about lately. Have a great evening and I will talk to ya tomorrow!! Good Night!!

Cadence- One month

Hi Lovelies,

I know I have not shared my birth story yet (this will a post later in the week), but I just wanted to share Cadence's monthly stats with you. I cannot believe that she will is 5 weeks old already. Time does fly, doesn't it? I am cherishing these moments for as long as I can and I am soaking up all of the baby snuggles. Also, I am enjoying seeing how Angelina interacts with Cadence. She is very protective of her and just loves her to pieces.

Anyway, here are Cadence's monthly stats:

Weight:  Right now she is almost 9 pounds give or take a few ounces.

Height: At her 2 week appointment she measured at 20 inches, she seems to have grown some in the last few weeks though.

Eating: She is exclusively formula fed and right now she is taking between 4 to 6 ounces every 3-4 hours.

Sleeping: She is taking a nap after every feeding and she has slept in 4 hour stretches at night. This means that she wakes up twice in the middle of the night to eat.

Clothing size: She is still in newborn sizes and sometimes she can wear 0-3 months sizes depending on the brand.

Likes:  She loves to lay in the floor and loves to kick her legs!! She loves her daddy and sister!

Dislikes: She hates having a wet diaper.

Playing: Right now she isn't playing, but that will change in the next few months. We can't wait to see how she plays with Angelina.

Well, there are her monthly stats!! I am not sure if I will be sharing pictures of Cadence just yet. I have to discuss this with the Hubster. It's completely up to him if I do.

Good night my Lovelies!!!

Tasty Tuesday- Loaded Baked Potato and Chicken Casserole

Good Afternoon Lovelies!!!

I know it's been awhile since I last blogged, but I have been very busy with a 5 year Kindergartner and a newborn.

Today, I wanted to start Tasty Tuesday up again, and here is the recipe that I am sharing. This is one that I am hoping to try very soon. It looks delicious!!!

Loaded Baked Potato & Chicken Casserole
serves 4
Loaded Baked Potato & Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

3 - 4 medium russet potatoes, scrubbed and diced
        (about 1.5 lbs. or 4 1/2 cups)
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
4 slices bacon, cooked crisp, cooled and crumbled
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 green onions, sliced (green parts only for low-FODMAP/low-fructose)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9" x 9" baking pan or casserole dish.
  2. Spread half of the diced potatoes in bottom of pan. Place the diced chicken breasts evenly on top. Season chicken with 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Sprinkle with half the bacon crumbles, 1/2 cup of the cheese, and half the green onions.
  3. Spread the remaining diced potatoes on top, followed by the remaining bacon, another 1/2 cup cheese, remaining green onions and another 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Pour heavy cream over top of casserole and then dot with the butter. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Uncover and bake another 30 minutes. In the last few minutes of baking, sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and bake until melted. Serve.

Cadence- 38 weeks

Hi Lovelies!!

Here is my update for this week!!

Today is : August 8, 2015

How far along: I am sitting at 38 weeks and 4 days.

Total weight gain: I lost some weight but I have gained about 5 pounds back.

Baby is the size of a: pumpkin!!! I think she weighs a little over 8lbs.

What is going on with the babe: She is still breech and she is sitting on my left side and she has her back facing towards the front. She has been in this position for the past several weeks and I don't see her changing positions any time before Tuesday.

What's going on with Mama:  I'm so ready to have this little girl. I have noticed that whenever I roll over my hips start to hurt.

Baby is:  A Girl!!!

And her name is--- Cadence Rose Maya

Maternity clothing: Bottoms, absolutely. Tops, still wearing non-maternity which means that i am wearing men's t-shirts size 3X to 4X.

Sleep: Tossing and turning with potty breaks in the middle of the night. Also, I am snoring and loudly too. (Still doing all of this!), amazinglythe heartburn is finally gone, but sleep is getting more  uncomfortable with all the kicks and jabs coming from the baby.

Movement: Lots of it and I love it!! She moves all the time!!

Cravings/Aversions: Sweets, just sweets since I cannot have them right now.

Symptoms:
- heartburn
- out of breath quicker
-Acne
-Braxton Hicks contractions
-Frequent potty breaks
-Round ligament pain

How has this pregnancy been different than the first:

Third trimester with Angelina was a bit easier than with this one. With this one, I have had heartburn almost daily and I have had more braxton hicks contractions. I have been going to weekly appointments and getting weekly NTS's and weekly ultrasounds ( I love seeing the baby every week).

I have finally gone a week without going to Labor and Delivery unexpectedly.

How big sister was this week: She is so excited to be a big sister!! She has been sick this weekend and she is finally back to her normal and giggly self.

The best moment(s) of this past week: Time with my family.

I'm looking forward to:Finally meeting her on Tuesday which is our scheduled c-section.

Happy Homemaker Monday

Good evening Lovelies!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Ours was packed with lots of snuggles, playing outside, and spending time together. In a little less than a week we will become a family of four and we are spending as much time as we can with Angelina before her baby sister enters this world.

We still have the following left to do before she gets here:
~ finish the baby's room (hang pictures and put away her clothes)
~ pack our hospital bags
~ stock panty, refrigerator, and freezer with food that the Husband can prepare
~ clean out the care and install the infant car seat
~ set up the pack and play

Okay, maybe I should get to the point of this post. It's Monday and that means it's time for Happy Homemaker Monday!!
